Coach P. Gabourel - “Heros don’t wear capes they coach”

I am a Master Coach with over 47 years of volleyball experience.  I received my first MVP Volleyball award at the age of 13 and then went on to play Colligate volleyball as a setter.  Highlight of volleyball journey .... the opportunity to try-out for the USA team at the Olympic training Center in Colorado Springs, it was a wonderful experience. 

Started coaching High School volleyball when I was about 20 years old. I then moved on to coach Collegiate for 10 years and have landed coaching both High School and club levels presently.  I have won Regionals Tournaments, coached at the National Tournaments, won some games and loss some games.  

Top three Coaching principles:  Enjoy the game, develop excellent skills and establish a Vball IQ.

Top three Life principles: Health, spiritual well-being, happiness.

I will never compromise the safety of a player to win and winning the game is not as important to me as teaching my players to be their truest self. But winning feels really good.

Simply put….I love coaching this game at the highest level possible for each player.
